3月21日 E 74 ErrorIt finally happened. I don't post a lot because I'm a busy guy, I'm either at work, having fun with friends and family, or playing Xbox 360. After a great match of COD4 with a few of my friends Wednesday my 360 started acting funny. Then today while trying to play Forza the graphics became very pixilated. I wanted to try to re-boot, and it never came back on. Now MS wants $100 for repairs. So I’m thinking that for $100 i could get my machine patched up, or i could get a brand new arcade version for $280. I've heard horror stories about people getting their box back and it's cool one minute then dead again. Plus I've wanted the new quiet machine with HDMI. I may be headed to Best Buy tomorrow.
12月8日 XBOX FALL 2007 UPDATEThe Xbox 360 has once again updated their dashboard. They've done a lot of things, but I’m most excited about the extended list of video's playable on the system. They did take away the pictures on each button, which to me made navigation easier. But all in all a good job. Here's a pic of my setup, you can see the Legendary Halo 3 helmet in the back, next to my LeBron Bobble head. And up front of course is the 360.

I've got a wrap and brace from my ankle to my thigh. my days have really only been popping pills and watching tv. when ever i stand up i can feel the blood rush to my leg, and i can feel the cuts the doctor made. they are saying 4 to 6 weeks before i'll be able to put pressure on it. i'll check back in later. 6月5日 Cool T-ShirtBecause of my leg injury i've been sitting on my couch watching movies and looking around on the internet. And it's happened again. It looks like I’ll be missing a week or two from work, and replacing that with Xbox games, movies and vicodin. They guys at work have been really cool about it. I really don't understand how people can just sit at home with out a job. I'm going crazy, if I see one more judge show, or commercial about lawyers I’m going to flip out!
So anyway, I'll have my surgery on Thursday which is the first day of the NBA Playoffs. My Cleveland Cavaliers did what those losers over at TNT didn't think they could do. I'm going to wear my LeBron jersey to the hospital so when I wake up I’ll be all ready for game time.
No matter how I feel after the surgery when the Cavs make it back to Cleveland I will be at the game. And I won't buy tickets through some crooked scalper and get to the ticket scanners just to see that I got ripped off. Anyone who knows me knows that on a good day I’m lucky enough to sit in the suite. That probably won't happen for this game, but I’m connected enough to be able to get tickets for the game. 5月13日 MSN MessengerI love what they've done to the 360 with this last update. Having the game name on the dashboard is great and messenger is really cool. If you haven't used it with a USB keyboard yet do it. 12月18日 DeadThis weekend I had to take my computer to Best Buy for service. They said it had something to do with the power supply and the motherboad, so it sounds really serious. I didn't realize how much I depend on having the internet just a few feet away at home. The worst part is I never backed anything up. They said they probably would have to wipe the hard drive clean which sucks because I have tons of music on there. But I learned my lesson, as soon as I get the computer back I'm going to get an external hard drive and backup everything. Test DriveI heard people talking about Test Drive Unlimited, how it's an open world and how people come in and out of your single player game. They call it a M.O.O.R. Massively Open Online Racer and it is very open. I wish it had more of a goal. Sort of like Need for Speed Most Wanted, where you have a goal of knocking off racers from the black list.
I would love to see this sort of game play put to use in the next Grand Theft Auto. I liked Saints Row, but I didn't care much for it's multiplayer.
Speaking of multiplayer, COD 3 is amazing with 24 people. Me and my buddy dawgbite started a battle with just the two of us, then a few minutes later we are playing with so many other people and having a blast. 12月14日 Small ArmsI was playing Small Arms last night and was talking to this guy who hosted the game. Everything seemed ok, until just after the match ended. When his mic went crazy, you could faintly make out his voice because all you could hear was static. I know my mic has done that but I've never heard it before. The person talking can't hear a change at all. 12月13日 The Wireless HeadsetFINALLY, MS finally recognized the faulty product. I've never had the pairing problems that some peole had. It works...just not well. Gotta thank NinjaGizmo for letting me know about the static. Once i'm in a game and use the headset people know that it's the wireless one. And I also get random disconnects.
It felt good going to www.majornelson.com and seeing that I'm not crazy. I posted in a couple of threads on www.xbox.com and the guy who started the thread acted like he made the thing. Any time someone said something about disconnects or static he cut them down.
It sucks that Microsoft put out a product that has so many problems. They must have tested this headset with people who never used the wired headset, or even the logitech xbox 1 headet and in a silent room. If they really tested this product then they know about the problems and knew about them from the start.
Now that's done, Small Arms is a great game. Instant action, and it's a game that i'm ranked pretty high in. My trueskill rank has me around 650. I think I'm going to get Assault Heroes, but it seems like it might get repetitive really quickly. I'll give the demo a few more runs and see what happens.
Later 11月30日 The HDTVFINALLY, I have my HDTV. I got the samsung brand because of all the endorsements they have with both XBOX and the NFL. I love it so far, but somehow my receiver died on me. It won't let me use the component cables. It was working fine before, but it's under warranty and I'll take it in for repair soon. But until then I have to either watch tv in SD or switch the component cables back and forth from cable to 360. 10月20日 first oneSo i spent $130 on games last night but it was worth every penny. I got tiger woods, and splinter cell. I was waiting to use some coupons for 10% off each game at circuit city, but they still don't have the games. I ended up at my usual place Best Buy. I should just buy stock in that place. I'm there at least once a week. Shit sometimes i'm there more than i visit my mama!
While i was there i decided to get my car cd player fixed or replaced. Best buy used to basically just replace everything on the spot. But not any more. They shipped my cd player off to God knows where to get it fixed and left me with a huge hole where the life of my car once was. Luckly i had my stock radio with me. But now my subs are getting no love. I really hope they can't fix it so i can get a new one. It's about that time, i need a change in the ride. |
