Let me start this by saying that i'm not a cheap guy. I've got Braid, Bionic Commando, and Castle Crashers. If there's something i want i do everything i can do get it. But i definately try to stay away from high priced pin ons and patches.

 

Today i started up my Xbox 360 and saw exactly what i was looking for. Firestone Country Club has been added to Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2009. But there's a catch. This course isn't $2.50, or $5.00, it will run you 600 MS points. It's strange how 4 maps in COD4 which was game of the year only runs you $10, but the course i want is going to go in my pockets for $7.50. But truthfully i could do one of two things. Deal with the 2007 version that i have that includes my favorite local course, pay the $7.50, or a third, head to gamestop and trade in the 07 for a MS points card. Either way 400 points would've been a much better price.

 

And at 12:01AM eastern October 1st Live is down.

I can't wait for this game to come out. It's going to be worth every penny, see you in multiplayer.

It took a little over twelve days, but it's back. I've checked it out, and it's the same console i sent them. The disk tray works a lot better now, so i'm happy. They also sent me a months free live for the time that i lost. Good lookin out MS, hopefully this will be the last time we have to go through this.

 

    

I decided to have my xbox repaired for a few reasons. DRM issues being the most major one. Having a huge paperweight is anoter. I got the box after work on Friday, along with a copy of PGR3. They probably felt bad since I knew that if i had 3 red lights instead of just 1 they would have done all the repairs for free. So I got a discount on the repair and a copy of PGR 3.

 

 

Now that I have the Coffin I've got to empty it out, pack my xbox and seal it up.

 

 

I'm hoping to get a 360 that works unlike some of the horror stories i've read. Maybe if i'm lucky i'll get one with HDMI. So here's a picture of what your xbox may look like after doing something as crazy as PLAYING VIDEO GAMES ON IT.

 

 

I'll keep the blog updated with my process. I know that everyone's experience with repair centers is different, but it helps to have as many of them documented as possible. I also just thought of something, UPS must be getting rich off of all the shipments Microsoft is sending through them. I'm headed to the UPS store to drop off my package. So start the clock.
